Dear ABWA Maia Chapter Members,
I wanted to give you a glimpse into my year acting as Treasurer on our Maia Chapter’s Board. At first, when I had said yes to this position, I knew little about what was expected, but I did know that I wanted to be more involved within our Chapter.
Sharon is such a great mentor, and she showed me everything that I needed to know, and she was supportive with me every step of the way.
What an amazing opportunity it has been to get to know the inner workings of our Chapter, and what it truly takes to operate and run our wonderful organization. The best part of this whole journey has been getting to know the other board members better, seeing the dedication and passion that these ladies have for our Chapter and our members is inspiring. Janene, Sharon, and Wiebke, thank you for all the work you do for all of us. I am so incredibly grateful for this fantastic experience, and for the great friends that I have made along the way.
Although, COVID really put a damper on our ABWA experiences, and negatively impacted all our lives, I have seen first-hand within our Chapter, we as driven women will rise above, help others, and succeed no matter the challenge set before us.
I am sad to be exiting my position as treasurer, but really excited for the next treasurer to experience what I had experienced.
